The original Alien is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a limited theatrical rerelease this weekend, but don't forget that there's a new Xenomorph on the way as well this summer. Fede Álvarez, director of the upcoming Alien: Romulus, celebrated "Alien Day" on Friday by posting a video of his film's new facehugger in action.

Alien: Romulus is supposedly set between events of Ridley Scott's Alien and James Cameron's Aliens, and will be a back-to-basics reboot, with a (seemingly) simple premise: "While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe."

Romulus not only utilizes practical effects when it comes to the Xenomorph threats in the film, but also when it comes to the tiny “Facehuggers” as well. Taking to social media to celebrate “Alien Day,
